The first Monday in July was a joyful day here at the Motherhouse as we welcomed Diane Brown to Candidacy, the first stage of IHM Formation. During this next year she will continue working at Marygrove, the IHM  college in Detroit. In addition Diane will make a priority to participate in all IHM events, meet monthly with the candidate director, and attend intercongregational formation weekends. When she is ready to become a novice she will transition into a community house in Monroe and enter her canonical novitiate year of living in community; learning more about religious life and the IHM congregation– where we came from and how we got to where we are today– and broadening and deepening her prayer  life. We look forward to mutual enrichment between Diane and IHM.
