If you’re interested in nuns, you don’t want to miss this exhibit called “Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America.” If you live near Cincinnati, OH; Dallas, Texas; Washington, D.C.; Dubuque, Iowa or Liberty Island, New York you’re particularly fortunate because the exhibit will be shown there in the coming months. However, even the website gives a wonderful thumbnail sketch of the amazing contributions of nuns in America. As I read about this project I feel blessed to be part of this amazing group of women. Treat yourself to a trip to this website.

Will there be any way to see it online later on? There’s no way I’ll be able to attend it (too far for me) yet I’d love to see those pictures.
Thanks for the question– a very good one. You probably know that after Ohio the exhibit will travel to Texas, Washington, DC, Iowa and then New York. Unfortunately that leaves out a lot of the country. Your question took me back to the website, and while there I enjoyed parts I hadn’t explored the last time, particularly the videos. I’m going to email the site about your suggestion. You might weant to email also. Perhaps they could post a video tour with commentary. Thanks again.
I emailed your question to Molly, one of the contacts listed on the Women & Spirit site. They are working on a video overview and slide show of the panels of the exhibit. These will be shared with the member communities of LCWR (Leadership Conference of Women Religious). Molly said that they might make the materials available on line after the end of the tour. Again, thanks for the question.
